Netherlands allocates 100 million euros to subsidize battery storage
Dutch authorities have allocated 100 million euros to deploy battery storage systems for solar projects next year in an effort to address insufficient power flexibility and grid constraints.
Rob Jetten, the outgoing climate and energy policy minister, announced this week when presenting the 2024 Spring Memorandum that the subsidy scheme is part of the Netherlands' 2025 Multi-Year Plan Climate Fund. It contains projects that the government intends to support over the next few years.
The plan is planned to be implemented from January 1, 2025 and end in 2034.
