India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has stated that it anticipates the annual addition of renewable energy capacity in India to remain between 15 GW and 18 GW for the financial years 2025 and 2026. The company indicates that 75% to 80%, or up to 14.5 GW of the annual capacity addition, will be derived from solar power, with the remaining approximately 20% coming from wind energy. The significant reduction in equipment prices, ongoing policy support, available liquidity, and investment plans by large corporations are expected to increase installations further.
